Working at BlueOval SK sucks!

I'm a former salaried employee of BlueOval SK.  It was the worst experience of my career.

The work culture is toxic fueled by a lack of trust between Americans
and Koreans, most of which work for SK On, a company that recently filed for bankruptcy.

Complaints to HR have resulted in retaliation and termination.

Turnover is 17% for 2024 and they haven't even started production yet. And that number does not include SK On employees where it is believed turnover is even higher. One of the Korean SK information technology employees was recently arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence, minor injury) and is still employed there yet Americans are being terminated for the smallest of things. A group of Koreans filed a discrimination complaint against an African-American compliance employee. C-Suite is seeing their fair share of turnover as well. They are on their 2nd or 3rd Chief Production Officer, which is a position held by a Korean, and rumor has it that the Chief Technology Officer, another Korean position, is being reorganized. The list goes on and on. It's a mess.

Koreans, with ZERO management experience, which are not permanent employees of BlueOval SK but employees of SK and will go back to their SK positions after their contracts have ended, are in management positions and Kentuckians are being forced to put their careers in the hands of these Koreans. The Koreans have no vested interest in the careers of these Kentuckians. And why would they? They do their time with BlueOval then move on. Same goes for the Ford managers although lack of management experience isn't as prevalent. The Ford managers on contract with BlueOval SK walk around with their chests puffed out bullying anyone that gets in their way. Nearly all corporate management positions are filled by SK On and Ford employees on contract with BlueOval SK so there is very little to no room to advance in your position with the company.

Don't ruin your career. DO NOT go to work for BlueOval SK!

Stay tuned for more to come...
